Tickled Skink is a unique experience, combining music, movement and animal handling for the pleasure and amazement of young and old alike!

Tickled Skink sessions are
fully interactive, compatible with the early years and National
curriculum, very educational and fun, fun, fun for adult and child
alike!
Children's entertainer, Vanessa, spent three years at drama school (BSSTDA), gaining a degree in professional acting. She has since worked in Theatre-In-Education and as a Montessori teacher with an emphasis on bringing learning to life through movement, drama and music.
She has been running groups with children of all ages, but especially the early years child, for the last 16 years.
Vanessa also trained in music and writes many of the popular songs regularly featured at weekly sessions and children's birthday parties!
As a children's party entertainer, Vanessa is second to none.
Tickled Skink focuses on some of the most beautiful habitats of the world and takes the pre-school and foundation stage child on an imaginitive journey through Rainforests, Deserts, British Countryside, garden, sea, African Safari and caves! (more habitats to come soon).
Older children also enjoy the sessions and love holding our range of exotic pets! There are holiday specials available for children of all ages!
Song is at the centre of the journey and Vanessa uses many colourful and exciting props to bring the world around us to life!

Summer special 2010!
Having sung about all the animals that live under the Sea, children were chosen to come and find particular animals from our cuddly Sea scene. Everyone gets a turn at something!
At a holiday special, children aged 2 to 9yrs will join in habitat themed singing and movement, lots of themed craft activities and will also get to handle and learn about a host of real, live exotic pets!

At Tickled Skink's weekly pre-school music classes, musical activities are followed by children having the chance each week to stroke and/or hold a real live exotic pet.
Please note: Sessions at the Reading Shop continue through the holidays

Special holiday events
Tickled Skink also hold "special events" each main school holiday for children aged 18 months to 9 years. 45mins themed singing, craft activities, refreshments and animal handling, adding up to a 2hr extravaganza!. These events are very popular and places fill up fast! This really is an animal party with a real difference and suitable for preschool and school aged children.
